It's The Month Of Love
"...I’m also just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her."
Who can forget these epic words from one of the most romantic movies of modern times? It's coming up to Valentine's Day, and one thing is guaranteed: We'll have plenty of romance novels being promoted, and plenty of romantic movies will flood our TV screens.
It's the ideal time to put up your feet, grab a glass of wine or a steaming cup of coffee, and feast on all your favorite titles--be it on TV or with a great love story of an author you haven't met yet. I'm dividing my time three ways:
finishing the draft of book II in the Settler's Ridge series
sitting down with a few books on my TBR list
watching the America's Cup on TV
Sigh, there's never enough time in the day to do all the things I'd like to do. However, given that the America's Cup takes place only once every four years, I arrange my time around the boat races. I love sailing. We used to have a sailing boat ... some of my most treasured memories have to do with sailing. I used some of my love for sailing in Tides of Love. I'm glad I don't have to sail one of the America's Cup boats. It looks hazardous as they fly on the foils. Give me a traditional keelboat and I'm happy to come on board.
